About The Author

My story is long and complicated. It begins millions of years ago when two amino acids decided to fuse together and form the first life on Earth. A short time later, my parents decided to double down on their success with my older brother, and tried for a daughter – getting me instead (they tried one more time, and got my little brother, at which point my mother prudently ended the experiment before she was further outnumbered by males in the family). I knocked around my hometown Brew City, the German Athens – Milwaukee to you ausländer --inflicting academic, career and social defeats on myself in the proverbial school of hard knocks, eventually moving to Chicago, where I live today with the billions of bacteria and other cells that constitute my biomass. When not pondering the merits of Chicago’s ethnic restaurants, I ride herd on Skyo’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Got my first letter yesterday! Loved it. I feel like I’m a portion of something wonderful that’s just starting to occur. Feeling a strange perception of community around it all. Maybe you are on to something here! Who would have ever believed that people today would basically print out words on paper just to have it sent throughout the mail to another person’s mailbox. Next thing you know, peoe will be growing their own food and walking or riding bikes everywhere. It’ll never ever operate, damn progress.
